An edge is the point where light has to decide what to do.
Etoile comes from a squared inspiration: a square section, live edges, planes that meet instead of blending. On a curved surface light slides away; on an edge it stops and draws a line. That line is what makes the collection recognisable in profile.
On this geometry the finish counts double, because it has an edge to work on. A metallisation lights the edge and makes the object look slimmer than it is; a matte finish puts it out and leaves only the volume. Whatever you imagine, it shows better here.
And the flat faces are the ideal surface for screen printing and hot stamping: on a squared body the artwork sits straight and reads, without distorting over a curve. The overcaps shift the balance of the whole thing, and they are worth deciding last.
