On a sinuous profile light never settles, and neither does the eye.
Reve has a graceful, differentiating silhouette, and it is the first thing you notice: the profile changes direction several times from base to neck, and no stretch is long enough for light to lie down on. The result is an object that looks in motion even standing still.
On a surface that keeps changing direction a colour is never quite itself: it darkens in the hollows, lightens on the ridges, and the shape modulates it on its own. Which is why on Reve it is worth risking a deep shade instead of a neutral one.
The piece that sums up the collection is the pearled white bottle with the lacquered neck: two finishes on one body, divided exactly where the profile narrows. It is decided at the finishing stage, and it changes the whole reading of the object on the shelf.
